شێوازێ دروستکرنا هەڤالناڤێن پلا بەراورد و پلا بالا
  1. ئه‌گه‌ر په‌یڤ ئێك برگه‌ بیت . One syllable adjectives
    1. ئه‌گه‌ر په‌یڤ ب پیتا (e) ب دوماهى هاتبیت, دێ (r) بو (comparative) و (st) بو (superlative)ل دوماهیێ زێده‌كه‌ین.

If the word is one syllable and ends with letter (e), add (r) for comparative and (st) for superlative.

تێبینی: په‌یڤ ئێك برگه‌یه‌ ئه‌گه‌ر بتنێ ئێك ده‌نگێ بزوێن تێدابیت و دوو برگه‌یه‌ ئه‌گه‌ر پتر ژ ده‌نگه‌كێ بزوێن تێدا بیت

  1. ئه‌گه‌ر په‌یڤ ب پیته‌كا نه‌بزوێن ب دوماهى هاتبیت و به‌رى پیتا نه‌بزوێن بتنێ ئێك پیتا بزوێن هه‌بیت دێ پیتا نه‌بزوێنا دوماهیێ دووباره‌ كه‌ین و پاش دێ (er) بو (comparative) و (est) بو (superlative)ل دوماهیێ زێده‌كه‌ین.

If the word ends with a consonant with a vowel before it, double the consonant and add –er for the comparative form; and double the consonant and add –est for the superlative form.

  1. ئه‌گه‌ ر پەیڤ ب پیتا (y) ب دوماهى هاتبیت و به‌رى (y) پیته‌كا نه‌بزوێن هه‌بیت دێ (y) كه‌ینه‌ (i) و پاش دێ (er) بو (comparative) و (est) بو (superlative)ل دوماهیێ زێده‌كه‌ین.

If the word ends with letter (y) with a vowel before it, change (y) to (i) and then add –er for the comparative form; and add –est for the superlative form.

  1. ئه‌گه‌ر وه‌كى خالێن(A,B,C) نه‌بن دێ ئێكسه‌ر (er) بو (comparative) و (est) بو (superlative)ل دوماهیێ زێده‌كه‌ین.

If the word does not fall unnder one of the above categories, just add (er) to comparative and (est) to superlative

  1. ئه‌گه‌ر په‌یڤ ژ برگه‌كێ پتربیت دێ (more/less ) بو (comparative) و (least /most) بو (superlative) دانینه‌ به‌رى په‌یڤێ.

If the word cosnsist of two syllables add (more/less) to the word for comparative and (most/least) for superlative

Comparative adjectives are used to compare differences between the two objects.

Noun (subject) + verb + comparative adjective + than + noun (object).
  1. My teacher is funnier than yours.
  2. Your car is faster than mine.
  3. iPhone 11 is thinner than iPhone 6.
  4. Azad is taller than Ali
Forming Superlative Sentences.
شێوازێ دروستکرنا رستا هەڤالناڤێن پلا بالا
  • هەڤالناڤێن پلا بالا دهێنە بکارئینان بو وەسفکران تشتەکێ کو د ئاستێ خو یێ هەر نزام یان بلند دا بیت. د رستێ دا دهێنە بکار ئینان ل دەمێ جوداهیا بکەری دهێتە دیاریکرن دگەل گروبەکێ تشتا.

Superlative adjectives are used to describe an object which is at the upper or lower limit of a quality (the tallest, the smallest, the fastest, the highest). They are used in sentences where a subject is compared to a group of objects.

Noun (subject) + verb + the + superlative adjective + noun (object).
  1. My teacher is the funniest.
  2. Our school is the best one in our city.
  3. She is the happiest person I have met.
  4. Azad is the smartest student in the class.
