Preposition of Time

ئامرازێن په‌یوه‌ندى یێن ده‌مى

A preposition is a word that can link verbs, nouns, and pronouns together. In many cases, it might suggest location or any other type of relationship which occurs between the various words within a sentence.

ئامرازێ پەیوەندیێ وشەیەکە دکاریت کار و ناڤ و جهێناڤا پێکڤە گرێ بدەن. ل زۆر حاڵەتادا، ئامرازێ پەیوەندیێ پێشنیاریا جهێ یان هەر جۆرە پەیوەندییەکا دی کو ل نیڤا وشێن جۆراوجۆر لە ناڤ ڕستێدا بکەت .

1. (on) تێته‌ بكارئینان به‌رى روژێن حه‌فتیێ و روژێن هه‌یڤێ و روژێن تایبه‌ت:

1. They are going to be finished on Monday.
2. I went on holiday on the 12th of June.
3. I last saw my friend on New Year’s day.

2. (at) تێته‌ بكارئینان به‌رى شه‌ڤێ و نیڤ شه‌ڤ و نیڤ روژا و ده‌مژمێرێ و دوماهیا حه‌فتیێ:

2. Don’t call me at midnight a gain, but call me at midday.
3. I get up at 10:00 am at the weekend.

3. (in) تێته‌ بكارئینان به‌رى سالا وهه‌یڤا وسه‌ده‌ و وه‌رزێن سالێ و دانێن روژێ:

1. He was born in 1986
2. Kurds celebrate Nawroz in March.
3. We are in 21st century now.
4. (in spring/ summer/autumn/winter) People go to picnics in spring
5. (in the morning/the afternoon/the evening) I get up in the morning

4. (from) تێته‌ بكارئینان ئه‌گه‌ر دوو ده‌مێن وه‌ك ئێك هه‌بن و ناڤبه‌را هه‌ردوو ده‌مان دا (to) هه‌بیت

1. We work from 8:00am to 4:00pm
2. I lived in Duhok from 2009 to 2018.
3. I will be visiting my friend from 1st of May to 15th of May.

5. (between) تێته‌ بكارئینان ئه‌گه‌ر دوو ده‌مێن وه‌ك ئێك هه‌بن و دناڤبه‌را هه‌ردوو ده‌مان دا (and) هه‌بیت.

1. I 'm going to meet him between Saturday and Wednesday.
2. It is dark between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.
3. My grandfather lived between the World War I and II.

6. (during, by, until, till, after, before) دگه‌ل پتریا ده‌ما دهێنه‌ بكارئینان.
