Preposition of Time
ئامرازێن په‌یوه‌ندى یێن ده‌مى

A preposition is a word that can link verbs, nouns, and pronouns together. In many cases, it might suggest location or any other type of relationship which occurs between the various words within a sentence.

ئامرازێ پەیوەندیێ وشەیەکە دکاریت کار و ناڤ و جهێناڤا پێکڤە گرێ بدەن. ل زۆر حاڵەتادا، ئامرازێ پەیوەندیێ پێشنیاریا جهێ یان هەر جۆرە پەیوەندییەکا دی کو ل نیڤا وشێن جۆراوجۆر لە ناڤ ڕستێدا بکەت .

  1. (on) تێته‌ بكارئینان به‌رى روژێن حه‌فتیێ و روژێن هه‌یڤێ و روژێن تایبه‌ت:

  4. (in spring/ summer/autumn/winter) People go to picnics in spring
  5. (in the morning/the afternoon/the evening) I get up in the morning
  1. (from) تێته‌ بكارئینان ئه‌گه‌ر دوو ده‌مێن وه‌ك ئێك هه‌بن و ناڤبه‌را هه‌ردوو ده‌مان دا (to) هه‌بیت

  2. I lived in Duhok from 2009 to 2018.
  3. I will be visiting my friend from 1st of May to 15th of May.
  1. (between) تێته‌ بكارئینان ئه‌گه‌ر دوو ده‌مێن وه‌ك ئێك هه‌بن و دناڤبه‌را هه‌ردوو ده‌مان دا (and) هه‌بیت.

  1. I 'm going to meet him between Saturday and Wednesday.
  2. It is dark between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.
  3. My grandfather lived between the World War I and II.
  1. (during, by, until, till, after, before) دگه‌ل پتریا ده‌ما دهێنه‌ بكارئینان.

Some examples

  1. During the summer we worked in Erbil.
  2. Before the lesson I felt sick.
  3. After work I went out with friends.
