First Conditional
Conjunction + Present Simple, + Future.
Conjunction Present Simple Future
  • Unless
  • If
  • As long as
(he, she, it) + (doesn't)verb (s) + C
(I, you, we, they) + (don't)verb + C
, + S + will/can/may not + base + C

تێبینی: نابیت(not)درستا(present simple) یا دگەل (unless)دا هەبیت.


Some examples
  • As long as you promise to pay back, I will lend you some money.
  • Unless she herries up, she will be late for the concert.
  • if he borrows me his camera, I will buy a new one.

    Some examples
    1. Unless they invite me to the party, I won't promise to go (if)
      • If they invite me to the party, I will promise to go.
    2. As long as you get there on time, you will attend the meeting. (unless)
      • Unless you get there on time, you won't attend the meeting.
    3. If we don't get more petrol, we won't get there. (unless)
      • Unless we get more petrol, we won't get there.
    4. If we don't look after our land well, it will not be productive. (as long as)
      • As long as we look after our land well, it will be productive.
    5. As long as you pay attention, you will find your faults. (if)
      • If you pay attention, you will find your faults.
    دانانا ئێک ژ ( unless, if, as long as) ل جهێ (or/to)
    ل دەمێ ( unless, if, as long as) ل جهێ (or) بکاردئینین:
    1. دێ (or)ژ رستا دووێ لادەین و ئەگەر (need to, have to, should, must, ought to) درستا ئێکێ دا هەبن دێ لادەین.
    2. ئەگەر (as long as/if) دانینە جهێ (or) دێ رستا (will) هێتە گهورین.
    3. ئەگەر (unless) دانینە جهێ (or) دێ هەردوو رستە وەکی خو میننن
    4. (or) هەردەم یا ل ناڤبەرا هەردوو رستا.

    Some examples
    1. We need to have good weather, or the trees will not produce good fruit. (if, unless, as long as)
      • If we have a good weather, the trees will produce good fruit.
      • As long as we have a good weather, the tress will produce good fruit.
      • Unless we have a good weather, the trees will not produce good fruit.
    ل دەمێ ( unless, if, as long as) ل جهێ (to) بکاردئینین:
    1. دێ (to) ژ رستا ئێکێ لادەین و بکەرێ رستا دووێ دگەل (will) ژ دەف خو دانینە جهێ (to) و دێ (have to, should, must, ought to, need to) ژ رستا دووێ لادەین و ئامراز دێ کەفتە دەستپێکا رستا (present simple).
    2. دانانا (if/as long as ) ل جهێ (to) ج گهورین جێنابن.
    3. بەلێ دانانا (unless) ل جهێ (to) رستا (will) دێ هێتە گهورین.
    4. (to) هەردەم یا ل دەستپێکارستا ئێکێ.

    Some examples
    1. To get high marks, you have to study hard. (as long as, unless, if)
      • You will get high marks as long as you study hard.
      • You won't get high marks unless you study hard.
      • You will get high marks if you study hard.
    Second Conditional
    • If
    • As long as
    S + ( Past verb) + C , + S + would (n't)/ could(n't)/migh(not) + base + C

    تێبینی: درستا مەرجێ دووێ دا ئەم (if) د دانینە جهێ (as long as) یان بەروڤاژی و هەر وەکی گهورینێن مەرجێ ئێکێ چێدبن


    Some examples
    1. As long as people used hydroponics in space, they would have fresh food. (if)
      • If people used hydroponics in space, they would have fresh food.
    2. If he wasn’t disabled, he wouldn't be unemployed. (as long as)
      • As long as he was disabled, he would be unemployed.

    د مەرجێ دووێ دا (were)دگەل(I) تێتە بکارئینان.

  • If I were you, I would tell him everything.
  • Third Conditional = unreal condition
    If(only) S + ( had(n't) + P.p) + C, S + would (n't)/ could(n't)/migh(not) + have + P.P + C

    تێبینی:

    1. ئەگەر (If only)درستێ دا هەبوو مەرجێ سیێ یە.
    2. (I wish) رامانا وێ (If only I)


    Some examples

    1. If the farmers had known more about soil science, they might have saved their farms.
    2. If only the farmers had used better techniques, they might have avoided the disaster.
    3. If the questions hadn’t been difficult, the students would have passed the exams.
